Post February Slam Blog, and Updated Season Standings

Hey Everyone!

This past Thursday we held our third last slam of the season at the Solstice Cafe.  Poets rocked the mic to a sold out crowd, including a few first timers!  Congratulations to Morgan on winning the night, and a big thank you to all the volunteers, and the Solstice staff for helping to make that night a huge success.  Another big thanks out to Rose Jang for recording the performances.  They should be online in the next couple of weeks.

If you attended the slam, you will see a change in the final standings.  Due to a clerical error the 2nd and 3rd place poets have been changed, with Jacob and Johnny switching spots.  I accept responsibility for the mistake, my sincerest apologies for this, and I will do my best to ensure this is avoided in the future.  If there are any questions or concerns regarding the scores, or standings, or anything please contact me at seescotttalk@gmail.com

See you next month on March 21st for the SECOND LAST slam of the season!

Don't forget, next week is the Victoria Spoken Word Festival, we have some of the best poets from across Canada descending on Victoria, and you will not want to miss any of the shows!  Until next time!
