January 2017- First Slam of the Season
Hello folks,
The 2016-2017 Slam season started a few months late due to a venue issue, but now we're fully settled in at our fabulous new venue at Caffe Fantastico in Quadra Village and we've had our first slam. And because we had no venue for Fall 2016 slams, we let this slam decide who to send as our CIPS representative to Vancouver this April.
Did you notice we've moved to Wednesdays? That's a thing too.
Without further ado, here are the results from the January 18th Vic Slam.
Round One-(in the order they went to the mic)
Annie Lepage- 22.4
Pamela Stewart- 25.2
Liam McGuigan- 23.7
SJ Valiquette- 23.0
Delaney Dunn- 22.9
Jeremy Loveday- 27.2
Anthony- 26.8
Elizabeth Keyte- 21.5
Tanya Christie- 25.2
Kelsey McMillan- 22.9
Catherine Garrett- 24.1
Dana Neily- 27.8
Round Two-(in the order they went to the mic)
Dana Neily - 27.7
Jeremy Loveday - 27.3
Anthony - 26.4
Tanya Christie - 25.6
Pamela Stewart - 25.4
Scoring high to low after round Two-
Dana Neily - 27.8 + 27.7 = 55.5
Jeremy Loveday - 27.2 + 27.3 = 54.5
Anthony - 26.8 + 26.4 = 53.2
Tanya Christie - 25.2 + 25.6 = 50.8
Pamela Stewart - 25.2 + 25.4 = 50.6
And congratulations to Dana Neily for winning the Slam and going on to represent us at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam.
